Developmental Workshop for Babies 3–6 Months

3–6 Months: The Age Everything Starts Moving

You've made it through the newborn fog, and suddenly your baby is a different person — grabbing, turning, working so hard to move. This workshop shows you what's happening in their body right now, which positions and play setups genuinely help, and how to spot the small things (like asymmetry or skipped steps) that are worth catching early.

Is My Baby Developing Okay?

The first months can bring a lot of tiny questions that feel big in the moment. This workshop gives parents a clear, practical foundation for understanding what their baby needs.

Baby only rolls to one side

Tummy time is a battle

Milestone anxiety and constant comparison

Conflicting advice from every direction

By the End of the Workshop, You'll Know:

Tummy time is 1 out of 4. What about the other 3?

Tummy time gets all the attention, but back-lying and side-lying are just as important. Each position teaches something different, and side-lying is literally the midpoint of a roll. You'll learn what your baby practices in each position and how to make all of them part of the day.

How rolling actually works — from the inside.

Rolling isn't a trick to teach; it's a chain of small skills: shifting weight, bringing hands to feet, turning the head, pushing off. You'll learn to see each link in that chain and support the one your baby is working on right now.

How to use weight shifting in everyday moments.

On the floor, on a ball, in your arms, even during bathing — you'll get simple, playful ways to give your baby the sensation of tipping, shifting, and turning that their body needs before it can roll on its own.

The difference between passive and active movement — and when each helps.

Sometimes you move the baby, sometimes the baby moves themselves. You'll understand when a gentle passive roll teaches, and when it's time to step back and let your baby do the work.

How attention drives movement.

Sound, light, your face, a bubble floating past — babies move toward what interests them. You'll learn to use gaze, sound concentration, and play to invite movement instead of pushing for it.

How to carry and handle your baby to support development

From carrier positions to how you pick your baby up — your hands and body are shaping your baby's movement all day long. You'll learn to make that time count.

How to play with a 3–6 month old.

Games on mattresses, poufs, and balls; making your baby laugh; moving to music with pauses. You'll leave with a repertoire of play ideas your baby will actually respond to, plus a take-home guide so you don't have to remember it all.
